Due to the unprecedented time, the International Slurry Surfacing Association’s (ISSA) Board of Directors met virtually on October 22, 2020 for their Fall Board Meeting.
The Board reviewed committee reports which provided an update of their current activities. One notable committee report came from the International Committee. They shared the statistics of the first webinar they hosted in South America on Micro Surfacing, with 206 attendees watching the webinar live.
Additionally, the Board reviewed the metrics from Quarter 3 on Roadresource.org noting that the most visited pages were ISSA treatment pages. The Board also agreed the four representatives serving on the Pavement Preservation & Recycling Alliance (PPRA) Synergy Leadership Team will be the President, Vice President, Marketing Chair, and one representative appointed by the President.
The ISSA Board also conducted phase 1 of Strategic Planning for 2021-2024. The Board will meet again in December 2020 to finalize the plan. More information will be provided on ISSA’s Strategic Plan in the coming weeks.
ISSA will conduct its next Board Meeting in February 2021.
