Gabbs Pole Line Road Rehabilitation

This project consisted of Type 2 Micro Rut Filling on depressions greater than ½” and Type 3 Micro Seal Surfacing along an 11 mile section of US89 near Tonopah, Nevada.

American Pavement Preservation from Las Vegas Nevada identified tire ruts ½”+ for rut filling along the entire section. Ruts were filled with a Type 2 Micro Surfacing material utilizing a 5’ Rut Box.
Once the Rut filling operation was completed on the existing pavement sections these sections were prepared for sealing. An application of Type 3 Micro Surfacing was then applied to selected street sections.

The Micro material consisted of a Latex modified LM-CQS emulsion and was laid at 24 lbs/ per sy.
After the Micro Surfacing was completed an application of Chip Seal was placed over the entire 11 mile section.
